Is the financial health of your business strong enough to support hiring newcomers?
The costs related to hiring newcomers who are already here is not much more than those related to hiring Canadian citizens. Extra costs such as credentials and competencies assessment services, special training (language, etc.) for newcomers or cross-cultural training for the current staff members can be expected. Recruiting abroad, on the other hand, represents a more significant investment. The return on this investment should seriously be evaluated beforehand.
