Credentials and Competencies Assessment Services
Canadian Information Center for International Credentials (CICIC)
If you are not sure how your foreign worker's degree or training compares to Canadian standards, CICIC has information on the assessment of foreign degrees, foreign credentials, recognition of qualifications, and comparative evaluation services in Canada.
English Language Training
Local Immigrant Settlement agencies in many areas of the province provide basic and enhanced (job specific) language training to permanent residents. Please note that temporary foreign workers and international students may not be eligible for this program.
Saint John College: This English language learning program can be accessed by temporary foreign workers, permanent residents and international students.
College of Extended Learning: This program can be accessed by temporary foreign workers, permanent residents and international students.
Language Instructions for Newcomers to Canada (LINC): This CIC basic language training program is offered to permanent residents through local settlement agencies in the province. They can provide information about a LINC service in your area. Please note that temporary foreign workers and international students may not be eligible for this program.
Collège communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick (CCNB): Some CCNB local campuses offer English as a second language course. Contact you local campus to see what is available in your area.
French Language Training

The Alliance Française of Moncton offers a variety of French language courses such as group conversation, private and semi-private classes, classes and summer camp for children, tailored classes for businesses, etc.

Cultural Competency Training
The New Brunswick Multicultural Council Inc. (NBMC) has developed a Cultural Competency Training program which will assist managers and team members in public and private sector workplaces and educational institutions to build their capacity to manage diversity and create welcoming workplaces where all team members can reach their fullest potential. CompreCultures offers a variety of fast-paced, highly interactive, half- and full-day workshops, carefully tailored to the needs of the client and to the working environment of participants.
Diversis offers on-demand and personalized cross-cultural training to governments, employers, community organizations, and to newcomers as well.
Profiles Global (Atlantic) Inc. offers a wide range of diversity management, consulting & training solutions, to assist clients and partners in building a workplace that is more inclusive. These solutions include a Workplace Diversity Employer Resource Manual, a workshop series surrounding a wide variety of topics, and the availability of a Diversity Consultant.

Provincial Nominee Program
Employers interested in helping their temporary foreign workers become permanent residents or recruiting a skilled worker who want to stay here permanently should direct their employee of future employee to the New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program. Through this program, the province actively seeks qualified immigrants who will fill labour market shortages, or create employment and business opportunities here. To be considered for nomination by New Brunswick, applicants must have a guaranteed job offer in their intended occupation or an approved plan to do business in New Brunswick.
Availability of Workers
Employment counselors at local settlement agencies around the province can help identify potential candidates amongst the job-ready immigrants who have undergone pre-employment training and/or language classes.
Universities and Community Colleges around New Brunswick can put you in touch with international student graduates with the skills and knowledge of interest to your company.
